Delhi KathgodamShatabdi Shatabdi EC travelled both way in April. Dirty non functional toilets, poor quality food. May reduce quantity. But iimprove quality. Very humble cooperative staff. Inadequate security more
I travelled by Bhubaneshwar Rajdhani on 6.5.2016 in AC 1st class. Rats bit through my camera bag at night. It was a coupe but still rats found their way in. more
Gatimaan express was launched with high fanfare, however, the comments are as follows: - The time of Gatimaan is very convenient, compared to Shatabdi which leaves at 0600 hrs. Further, Gatimaan leaves from NZM which is less congested than NDLS. So, bit relief to passengers. - Gatimaan travels 188 kms in 1hr 40 minutes without any stop, whereas Shatabdi travels 195kms in 1hr 57 minutes, with a stop at Mathura. The ticket in Gatimaan is higher by Rs. 235 to perhaps to discourage local travelers. - I travelled by Gatimaan to show it to my son, who is fond of travelling in train on 14.05.2016 and I was not fully convinced about the travel comfort for a price, we paid. The coaches were same as Shatabdi, with slight improvement in suspension but still scope for much more improvement. Signs of fixing screws later on and repair using putty, taps, soap in bathroom, latches with indicatior etc. made a case that Kapurthala is relying too much on inadequate infrastructure of private vendors. I expected modern coaches and so BEML should be roped in for designing and making of these coaches. The aisle was inadequate for trolley and often created obstruction. The hostess were slow and could not clear the tables till we reached Agra. The food was just OK but service needs improvement. There was no announcement, which was disappointing. No TV and even no Wifi. These are certain things that a consumer wants for paying higher price. Hope railway will maintain the pride of this train. more
I travelled No. 16562 kochuveli - Yeswantpur Duronto exp from kochuveli to Trichur on 20th may. Pnr 4632725112 for B6, 31. By the time it reached Kottayam 3 trains were in front of it though most of the track is double line with many sidings at stations. So when one of those trains stop this too is forced to halt. Those sidings were not availed to enable overtaking by this fast train. Consequently it reached Trichur 2 hrs late. As there is no pantry car we suffered 8 hrs without even a tea. Sent SMS to Centralized enquiry on this. Also noticed occasional white powdery emission. On checking AC vent fungal growth is seen. This is serious allergy hazard more
Whatever may be the season please ensure that all the windows of the sleeper coaches closes properly.Toilet water supply line are found often in leaking condition.Ensure regular check and fix accountability. more
