We have GTPL Broadband services in Ahmedabad, which is reasonably ok. Problem comes once in 2 months on an avg. However, they launched Genie plus for OTT where they failed miserably. It was quite economical and I subscribed for 6 months package, but it did not work out. On asking refund, they started dramas. Anyhow after representing case to Consumer Education forum and struggling for 2-3 months, got full amount refunded. Thanks to CERS who have time & again helped us. CERS, Ahmedabad chapter is doing fantastic & appreciable job. more
Service providers must not take customers for granted. Unfortunately, competition is reducing and there are only about two players left in the fray. (Airtel/Jio). I am noticing a steady deterioration in service levels. Most of the smaller players are mainly go-betweens and dependent on the majors for services. Players like MTNL / BSNL are not service oriented and they are erasing themselves out of existence. more
Security issues with home router should be explained by the service provider more
MTNL Broadband service and telephone line is not working since 15 September 2023 in Chandivali, Mumbai 400072 area. The complaint number 022 28472198 does not allow you to lodge complaint. There is no email id of Customercare. To top it all bill for month of September 2023 is received without deduction for service not available. more
Wow!! there are still some who are loyal to MTNL. Just visit one of the exchanges and get the real story (This has been the case for over 4 years now). MTNL has virtually no staff, the exchanges wear a deserted look and few people around are those who are likely to retire soon and are not interested in anything besides their retirals. The place stinks, it's like a war zone and Technology has seen no upgrade for years. This is only going to worsen. Most exchanges will get sold off soon to real estate sharks. MTNL OFC's, junction boxes are all in a complete mess. more
Most importantly, the fibre laying people after bribing local who and who plant their poles with scant regard to roads and houses en route. Making it difficult for birds and residents alike. more
