Flight cancellations penalty
I saw CEO of LocalCircles on a TV channel yesterday raising this issue of introducing a penalty if airlines cancel flights for internal reasons.

However until this goes really viral and it goes to every aviation administrator, there will be resistance to do this.
We should push for this or waiver from any fare difference charges if a person shows up before flight departure as in they should be put on a different flight without charges.

It is expensive to travel by air and air travel is preferred for a specific cause.importance of flight travelling is lost if a flight is delayed even by an hour. Passangers might have to attend serious interviews meeting examinations court litigations. May be some one to get admitted to hospital for surgery and nay be a passanger wishes to reach before surgery etc. A the whole importance is lost. Except incase of mn natural calamity airlined should make alternative arrrangements of travel or intimate traveller sufficiently in adance for him make alternative arrangements. In such case airlines should fully refund and/ or extend transit accommodation offer refreshments, in the event of delayed flight. I am a victim of vistara flt. Episode where, i lost heavily and besides mental agony, heavy financial loss by way of food transportetc. more

If a passenger has to pay for ticket cancellation, the airlines also be fined for flight cancellation and such money should be paid to the affected passengers proportionately . more

This is the impact of bad administration. Why civil aviation ministry is not strict with all Airlines? Govt. has allowed these private entities to do whatever they feel right to do business and get more profit at the cost of passengers. Now a days it's a common phenomena to have notice of flight and wait for hours in an uncomfortable situation for the next flight. No one cares and feel sorry for such laps. TATA had taken over Indian Airline and now it's the worst one. Why govt. shouldn't think of simplifying the rules and frame it well to offer better service to customers instead of Airline operators. more

when passenger under circuntances have to cancell ticket , they gets a portion of the purchase amount . they are not getting the gst and surcharges .,why they should have to pay gst for srvice not availing. govt should return the gst and surcharges, when airlines cancells flight they must arrange seats in other flight without extra charge. and must pay for hotel acomodation and back journey fare to his original place start more

GO AIR kept on booking tickets. One day before they informed that flight has been cancelled. I had to buy ticket in other airlines at a very high fare. Later on Airlines was closed down. Till today I did not receive my refund money. who is responsible for this. How airlines was allowed to continue booking tickets for a long time and cancelling the flights. Why no action has been taken on the owners for cheating the unsuspecting public. more
