Follow W Central Rlwys example and ban cola

West Central Railways has banned cola at all stations under Bhopal Jabalpur and Kota divisions after cadmium and chromium was found in the drinks. Min of State Health was personally involved in enusing this.

Urge Minister Suresh Prabhu to ban the same across India. Why cant we. Instead sell neebu pani, mattha, lassi. more

does banning cola on rail platform solves the issue of contamination? These are certainly NO solution. State has no business to dictate its fiat on eating habits of citizens. State has responsibility of preventing adulteration that is what exactly should have been attempted. more
I don't agree with any bans. As free citizens of this country every individual has a right to choose what they want to eat, drink or what to do. It is time this dictatorial and policing of people stops. Why does everyone else want to impose their opinions or choices on others. There are worse things that Coca cola or Pepsi - like cigarettes and liquor. The constitution gives every citizen the right of choice and as equal citizens they do not need anyone else telling them what they should think, or how they should lead their lives. Free choice is best for everyone. Banning has never been a solution as it denies someone their right to choice. Share information, communicate and advice, that is it. more
Nimbupani (sweet lime water), Lassi both sweet and sultry, even of 'Amul' are available on many stations. Caterers on all trains having Pantry Cars must be provided with an ID Number that each of their serving staff must wear. Caterers should be advised through a circular that they must keep 'Rail Neer', and Lassis and NOT to keep Cocacola Pepsi etc. In recent years I have observed that majority of the Catering staff do not carry 'Rail Neer' in their buckets. Some times they bring 'Rail Neer' when I insist, some times not. Similarly at many station the vendors do not keep 'Rail Neer'. They provide unknown brand of water. Must be getting higher margins on higher cost. At least on Duranto, Rajdhanis etc. the Catering staff sometimes give forms to the passengers for feed back. The forms should have the rubber stamp of the Caterer's ID. Many passengers do not fill up much of the form. There would be SOME passengers who would give a proper feed back on email and SMS complaints with Caterers ID by mobiles. I have noted that the response to SMS complaints is not as prompt now a days. Used to be better and with a follow up response earlier. more
