for kind attention of the Hon'ble Minister for Railways Shri Suresh Prabhu.

Any one visiting New Delhi Railway Station can see that none asks for platform ticket from the persons coming to see off passengers. Hence, logic that hike in price of Plate form ticket would discourage people accompanying the passenger and would reduce crowding of plate form is flawed. Any one coming a long distance to help the passenger up to Railway Station can also pay for plateform ticket. However, it is the law abiding people who search for the Plate Form Ticket Counter and buy plat form ticket. However, Plate Form tickets Counters are not conspicuously located and not manned sufficiently and have long ques. The persons willing to buy Plate form ticket have to devote lot of time in searching the counter and standing in que which delays the passenger whom he has come to accompany and assist. Thus, even law abiding persons are being forced to evade the law and loss of earning is also caused to the Railways. Kindly arrange to man the plat form ticket counters so adequately that no que is there.
On 21.07.2015, 4.30 pm, I saw an unusually long que of passengers entering NDRS from Ajmeri Gate side and getting frisked and their luggage x-ray scanned but some passengers entering by the parallel passage without any frisking or scanning. I entered by that passage but not allowed. Soon one colie took my luggage and I accompanied him and entered the station without any frisking and without any screening of my luggage but I had to pay colie Rs. 120/-. Colie told me that half of the amount collected by colies is passed on to the police constables on duty in lieu of the luggage carried by colies and passengers accompanying colies not checked. This is how rampant corruption going on and the security of Railway is being seriously compromised.
In the Rajdhani Express, feedback by call from '139' was taken even before having meals . The hand towels smelt bad. curry of the meals flowed from one tray to other for the handling of trays one over the other and when the train is about to reach destination, the TTE etc. not seen and serving attendents come to collect tips/ bakhshish.
Why not some one from your trusted staff visit railway stations and actually travel as an ordinary passenger if the condition of railway is to be seen and improved, instead of relying upon the feedback of sycophant officers in the hierarchy or listening to the VIPs called by media for arranged talks with the Hon'ble Minister. more

Price of the platform ticket should be increased to Rs.50 and persons accompanying the passengers must be checked by ticket examiners before allowing them on the platforms. The passengers and persons accompanying them must be allowed just 5 minutes before the arrival of the train on the platform. more

cleanliness is the main issue for retiring/ waiting rooms. every one would enjoy a decent, clean room to stay in midst of their journey. both passengers as well as cleaning staff should take it into consideration that if we together maintain the facility will definitely help in sustaining it. i think in a day only 1 time in the morning shift ,the toilets and bathrooms gets cleaned. it should be made at least 2 times a day, thus would maintain hygiene. The ac waiting room of jabalpur junction, well maintained, although seating capacity never fulfills our requirement but the decorum of the room is well maintained. more
