Forced Land Acquisition - Inputs on Issues
It has been reported in our circle that the National Highways Authority of India is executing acquisitions of farmer land at throwaway prices (while the market prices are many fold to 100 times in some caes. This is directly against the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquistion, Rehabilitation and Resettlement act, 2013 enacted by Parliament of India.

Can any one say how many acres of land from Corporates had been acquired in last 10 years for development work. Instead we will find that only the helpless farmers are lured or forcibly made to these acquisition process in the name of development. Nowadays Governemnts act as land brokers for the corporates. In India vast area of uncultivable lands are available for industrial coridor and the corporate for their selfish reason always prefer area near to cities and ports which tend to shrinking of good fertile lands. more

If lands are kept idle expecting price rise and for other reasons it is better it is acquired and used for better purposes and at the same time it is true that goondas are used to acquire lands form weak and ignorant persons at at throw away prices. Registrar should make an enquiry before such transfers and refuse the same if values are low. However transfer of lands used for agriculture at any time should never be allowed to be converted for any other use other than for agriculture more

Every body know the realities in the Land Business which is proved the best of all , and is seconded and supported by many Political Parties as we are seeing in the magic in implementation of the Land Ceiling Acts . Now also we know that the PARLIAMENT ALSO HAS WITNESSED THE issue of Land Acquisition Bill for Industrial and Infrastructure which only is the source of Economy increase to cater the acute needs of the People' s Striving for lively-hood . All are afraid to implement the law and most are against to integrity amidst the fight for individual rights in enjoyment . The States are not in a position to study , assess and come forward for Industrial and Infrastructure Development to save the people though they used the Constitutional article purposing for the Welfare provisions to the general Public . more
