Further Actions to reduce misuse of Emergency Quota

Last year after the Emergency Quota concerns were raised in this circle via whitepaper http://bit.ly/Emergency-Quota-Solutions

Actions like the following were taken to reduce misuse of emergency quota

With this post we would like to seek any additional specific solution inputs that you have which will enable elected representatives, railway officials, patients with genuine emergencies to travel, yet ensure this facility is not being misused.

There should be no VIP quota. more  
colour coding of trains>.. often some passengers board the super fast trains without knowledge of SF train .in lack of name plate on coaches ..if the superfast trains are painted different there will be less chances of paying penalty by innocent passengers more  
All is not well in the RESERVATION SYSTEM many a times non availability is shown but you enter taking takal ticket you find lots of vacant seats more

Other than genuine urgency for travel supported by proof like urgent hospitalisation, death news, interview for jobs etc EQ should be restricted to one or two berths per month in all other cases like MLAs/MPs/Judges and other VIPs enjoyng allotment under EQ as a privilege so as to make more berths available to genuine urgencies of the general public. The fare under EQ should be at Tatkal rates. more
