Govt finally hears circle request

Yesterday PM Modi warned pharma companies CEOs not to bribe doctors with women, foreign trips and gadgets
Modi met senior officials from top drug-makers like Zydus Cadila, Torrent & Wockhardt, and said their non-compliance is forcing govt to create a strict law.

We should all give inputs to Govt on what this law must have.

Because the doctor prescribes a drug with vested interest not only its threat to patient health it also is additional cost of medical treatment. Imagine millions of us being given unnecessary antibiotics because some doctor is being lured into a thailand trip.

Must stop. Please speak ip everyone. more

The other day I saw the movie Chapaak. In the movie the supreme court banned the sale of acid. I can buy acid at any kirana shop today. So what was the deal about? To tell you the truth we are doomed unless you go to a good, ethical doctor who is not a greedy one and who believes in making patients better. more
A few years back it was decided that the doctors should prescribe medicines writing their ingredients & combinations instead of writing the brand names so that the patients do have the options to decide the company or the indigenous one he should go for. This should be made compulsory and incumbent on all doctors irrespective of their stature, which will certainly bring in transparency in the system. Similarly, when a specific test is recommended that should be supported with the doctors' speculations of the concerned patients' ailments. more
Rather blaming everyone let the hobby set its house in order. IAS and other administrative officers mint millions with the help of their cronies but there is no one to question them. Illegal buildings come up under the nose of these officers and they are demolished baby order of court but none of the ad.administrative officer is punished. So the system need a meaning from top. more
What is far more important is strict enforcement of existing laws rather than make additional new laws. These additions only help executives get more teeth to take a bigger cut and is of no help to common man. Executives who are corrupt MUST be brought to books. That can happen if our vigilance is not corrupt. Therefore to make vigilance more effective we should involve people as watch dogs and pay them 20 to 25% of charges to the defaulter as is done by Customs Dept. Vigilance dept.'s existence should be based on cases that they successfully bring to books and revenue generated. If they are not able to generate enough funds to pay for their salaries and allowances, the Dept. should be closed. RYK. more
Suggestion no 1. When a doctor makes foreign trip, check who is financing the trip; if self financing, source of the finance. If by any other person / Co./ Nursing Home/Hospital/Pathlab etc, find why they are financing? more
