Govt hikes dearness allowance for Govt employees

The government has hiked the dearness allowance (DA) for central government employees and dearness relief (DR) to pensioners to 28 per cent from 17 per cent with effect from July 1.

The decision is expected to cost the government approximately ₹ 34,400 crore and impact around 48,34,000 central government employees and 65,26,000 pensioners.

While we pay high petrol diesel and essentials price the central govt employees will get paid from our pinch. more

Dear Sir, the business statistics is different than Govt. Today the Govt. job is most secured employment in the world with good pay. Even today most of the retired govt. employee getting pension of Rs. 30,000 /00 Avg. with variable DA. In Pvt. MBA qualified peoples are not getting the salary up to this mark. Another Performance. If they don;t Next day will be out. No Refusal of the work. No Union. work & earn as per company rule which changes from company to company. and hence peoples like Engineer , Doctors are looking for Govt. Job. more
Dear readers! Ms Sharma is just informing us of this yet another red herring by the BJP ( Bahut Jhooti Party). To hold back government servants DA/DR is constitutionally wrong. What happened to the various government unions? Why have they not taken any action by threatening the government of consequence. They have been doing it for less reasons in the past. It appears that the government is working ionly in favour of the Corporates . Therefore in this Kalyug now is Corporate subyug. more
Dearness Allowance is paid due to the inefficiency of the government in controlling the price of variety of products. Why the employees should suffer. The increase in the price is affecting the purse of the employees. When government can give concession to the business class, why the employees should suffer. more
Govt is following a well established structure that should be followed by private sector that's why this difference is observed everytime. This is not a unnecessary step taken by govt. I am not a government employee but I think private sector must practice this type of structure and safeguard the future of employee and make private sector stronger than govt sector. This can change mind of people that always prefer govt. Due to which highly educated people instead of establishing new industries prefer highly paid jobs. more
This is nothing but jealousy. She may not have a job with central Government. If she had she would not dare put a post like this. She wants free vaccine, free treatment, free sanitary pads, groceries and money in her bank account as pandemic relief. Shame on you "lady". more
