GST council - such pathetic outcomes

Look at what the lame GST council has done. The buggers have increased GST rates on led lamps, pencil sharpners, spoons, forks, knives, printing ink and a ton of other items when we specifically in LocalCircles survey said not to increase gst rates on common middle class items.

And when it came to cryptocurrency they are evaluating.

We as a country dont have priorities right. I am sad. more

We are now headed for a imperialistic government who does not care for the people or its problems, only for itself. Can you imagine for the Maharashtra political scam in the assembly, the ministers stayed in 5 star hotels and met in them in Guwati and Mumbai, Who will bear these expenses??? And they are keeping on adding the burden on the middle classes. How can we gather support as there is no opposition to these practices by the government. They do not listen to the Local Circles Management then who will listen to us? more
Even solar water heaters will cost more. This is ridiculous. This is not in the interest of the citizens nor in the interest of the nation more
As a fellow middle class citizen and tax payer, I am pretty much amazed at how people are responding. Most of us are pretty short sighted and conveniently ignore the current geo-political situation. We are concerned about price rise in our lives but do not realize that we are way better off than over 70% of the worlds population across the globe. The global economy is bracing for a recession and we are thinking like frogs in a well. China laid the foundation for global economic chaos by exporting the Wuhan Virus. Now there is war in Ukraine with NATO and its Allies fomenting a second disruption in Global supply chains. In India food and agri business owner are creating and artificial shortage pushing up the prices... this we do not comment about, because some of us are part of this and are actually profiting from it. And yes, non-business citizens we do have to suffer the greed of these businesses and the taxes of the government. It goes back to the root cause - if all individuals and Businesses pay their taxes the government will not have to raise taxes. 6% are paying while 94% are enjoying. As regards politicians who are growing fat on public money, I am totally with the majority on this. Let there be a solid movement by strong citizen bodies, let's join them and bring the change in the Constitution itself. Politicians should not be confused with leaders, they are "public servants" and once they stop "serving" they should not be paid anything. Billions can be saved and used for the people if this change is brought. Lets work towards that as a solution to this problem. Thank you more
GST implementation was a wonderful initiative insofar as businesses got into the taxation net, and all taxes became vattable. GST brought in more transparency, but now will have completed 5 years operations on 1st July 2022, GST ought to have been streamlined and the benefits self-evident. Little competition from alternate systems, when the intention is entirely altruistic, and the system the most scientific. more
This government is happy screwing the average citizen. The moot point is that they themselves pay for nothing and have a great time devouring free (everything) like hungry wolfs. From huge salaries to free food accomodation travel electricity water Income Tax free travel with all their naukar chaakars and...... This government has caused more harm to the poor than any previous governments. more
