GST filing exemption

Require clarification with regard to GST not compulsory but optional filing upto 75lakhs business turover more

Every registered person (either composition or regular) under GST has to comply provisions and all relevant returns are to be filed on time without late fees and after time with late fees. Remember that if a particular return is not filed for previous month/ quarter u will not be able to file next month/ quarter same return. Even if there is no business NIL return has to be filed. Once registered there is no exemption in compliances. more
Mr Ashok Anand ji thresh hold limit for seeking registration in GST is 20 Lakhs and in eastern states it is 10 lakhs. If your turnover is more than 10 or 20 Lakhs, as applicable, you are liable for GST registartion. Once you are registered in GST then you are bound to file GST returns depending upon the turnover of your business. If your turnover is upto 1.5 carores then you can opt composition scheme and file quarterly returns. If you don't go for composition still you can opt quarterly mode of return filling. If your turnover is more than 1.5 carores then you have to file monthly returns. Once you are registered in GST then you have to file GST returns irrespective of your turnover with monthly or quarterly options. more
