GST inspectors need to visit Doctors

So as Tara ji said 99% of the doctors with private practice dont issue receipt by choice.

Another scam is that most of these doctos sell medicines and all 100% on kachha bills. They are basically collecting gst from me and you but not depositing it to the Govt. Who knows may be the doctor fee in cash allows them to buy the medicine in case and so the whole chain skips gst.

Gst inspectors must visit all doctors selling meds and book them for evasion more

What is said here by Mr. R. N. Chopra is not something new but an initiative repeated by him for a collective action by consumers of the professional service of medical practitioners, and Mr S. K. Virmani has very right added to the scam the services of advocates in judiciary which is again the worst of its kind that has the candid support of the government in it silence. I have been making my contribution to this issue and raised it with the Law Commission but to no purpose. What is the solution to these two big consumer issues? Could we get together for an agitation on the streets of the country? Although I am not principally in favour of street agitations, but in these two cases we require a huge agitation on the street UNLESS THE GOVERNMENT IS WILLING TO TACKLE IT WITH IMPOSITION OF "EMERGENCY" IN THESE SECTORS OF SERVICES. Let a leader come up to lead the mass consumer agitation. I hope the Local Circle will approve of it. more
Economic offences must also have provision of death penalty, then only people have some fear, other wise no improvements can be expected. more
I suggest a min of 10 yrs and confiscation entire wealth, assets of the offender more
One needs to view the scenario from a distance in order to have a full view: The government knows that only a negligibly small percentage of Indian "earners" pay income tax. Aim is to increase this percentage. Inter alia, GST has been introduced to attract non-taxpayers into the tax bracket. These are "businesses" which charge GST on sale of their goods. The next step would be to widen the circle of GST-charging businesses. These could be.....lawyers, doctors, builders, wholesalers, retailers, shopkeepers, freelancers, consultants/advisors etc...........in short, any business that earns money through sale or brokerage. These businesses MUST issue "pucca receipts" for every transaction, however little the amount, and they must submit details of the collected GST according to the rules. Only at the end of a quarter or a year, whatever, should the government decide whether one is or is not exempt from paying income tax, which is totally unconnected with GST. more
I visited Kerala recently for a holiday. I found that most vendors in the tourism industry in Kerala are not bothered about the GST. When asked, some have said that they are going to implement in next month, which happens to be January and incidentally, next year i.e. 2018. No serious intention is seen. GST inspectors should take a serious view of it and bring all these escapists into the GST net. It will reduce burden on the system and benefit government & genuine tax payers. more
I feel the attitude of Keralites is the best, because GST as such has not done any good to the nation or the individuals more
Even today, the traders are selling goods kutcha bills showing GST etc but take cash only. If you insist on payment through card they dis-incentivize by charging extra for card payment. They are even ready to issue a paper slip if you are ready to forego the demand for an Invoice. The only way to control this is to bring about an online software where the Bills are generated and the transaction is accounted for and tax portion sent to the Govt immediately on completion of the payment without waiting for monthly returns to be filed. more
