GST on society maintenance be waived

In India, there is a shortage of civic amenities, so many people choose to buy flats as they provide access to parks, security, water, and basic facilities. These apartment residents are law-abiding citizens who pay income tax still do not mind contributing for maintenance fee.

Paying maintenance fees from their pockets to ensure the smooth functioning of these facilities, which they were supposed to receive from the government.
However, it is disappointing that the government imposes GST on maintenance fees exceeding Rs. 7500.

This seems unfair, as the common citizen who is already paying for these basic facilities should not be burdened with additional costs. It is time for the government to review and amend the GST policy to eliminate the tax on maintenance costs.

This would alleviate the financial burden on honest citizens and encourage them to continue contributing to the development of their society. more

Yes, this needs to be removed by Government as common man on one hand paying hge maintenance to builders and on other hand paying 18% GST on all the services. It is unjustified. more
