Hassles faced in Digital India
Our Govt is heavily promoting Digital India and it is really good we are becoming more dependent on digitisation. However, would like to quote some examples, which I have been facing in diff way -
1. Digilocker : ITR file -0.06 MB upload issue in their Drive. They are attempting but failing to address it since one month. Same file getting easily uploaded in G drive, OneDrive, Dropbox !
2. NVSP : Pwd not getting reset for specific Log in User name. This was reqd to download EPIC, but since 8 months no solution. Suggested to delete old acct, so that new one can be Sign up. Std formatted mail keeps coming.
3. Ahmedabad Muni Corp portal : Was able to Log in with pwd, but one fine morning issues started and unable to do anything. Noone addressing it nor responses to e mails. Knowing deptt high inefficiency, left w/o hope.
4. Income tax portal : Wrong mob no fetched in TRACES; In my wife AIS - my mob no is fetched.
5. CIBIL : Lot of erroneous personal info captured from here and there. Wanted to streamline, but all efforts in vain.
6. New India Assurance - PMSBY Insurance: Every time failing to download the Insurance policy. Portal invariably says " Invalid details". On putting up to their agency GRADATIM, we then get it by mail. There are no efforts seen in resolving system error, inspite of complaints !!
Govt I.T team has to be strong to resolve all such hassles in order to overcome obstacles and have smooth experience... more

Yes, digitization is fine but lot of thought has to be given about the infrastructure to support it. Sadly that is missing and we have to fend for ourselves .In the meantime more and more websites are created at all levels by all govts which only confuses the citizens and the websites themselves suck quite often. more

Yes ! It is true that there is a lot of fanfare for the Digitization in India. The decision makers have left the general public to fend for themselves. There is a lot of fanfare about any new facility introduced; but hardly any follow up to check if its is working as designed to ... more

any state govt sites are either down or slow and do not work,Same is with the sites of all public sector banks and also when one goes to their office their printer will not be working and atm is just for namesake and lot of times i see Out of order board there. more

Manuel Aaron: I wish to answer Mr C.S.Narayanan's question: Has anyone got their refund for this year? Yes, both my wife and I have got our Refunds promptly. But I hate this "Digital India", we Indians are not ready for it. When the poorest of the poor, the hardly literate people with extremely low income, can understand Digital India and truthfully say that Digital India is useful for them, then only India is ready for Digital India. I am a 1955 B.Sc. from Allahabad University. I understand and use Email and Whatsapp, but nothing more. There must be hundreds and thousands like me, all of us ashamed to admit that we dont understand Digital India! We need the help of the younger generation to fill complicated Forms. The Government is making a mistake by assuming that the ordinary people can easily complete these complicated stuff designed by eminently qualified experts. Digital India is a good dream to have, but I don't see it being realized in my lifetime. more
