Why does the localcircles not start something in the area of health just like consumer, food, profiteering circles where we as people can affect policy.

Last year there was some work done to cap prices of medical products like stents or get mrp displayed on products but I feel much more is needed.

Is the health ministry doing anything at all? What about state health ministries. Is any state better than others? Why arent states passing clinical
Establishment act or emulating the one by west bengal. more

Why are you so cynical like a typical Malayali Communist ? What has your State Govt. done so far ? Any better ? Every sector was ruined by the Royal Dynasty of Nehru-Gandhi-Vadra over six decades. Now a well meaning PM is burning himself day and night and you are derogating him like a typical cynic !! Highly deplorable on your part. Even angels cannot improve health sector is 4 years, a sector riddled in corruption, demanding so much investment over a long period of time. I fully agree with Ms Devika Nair. There should be health circle but more importantly there has to be a agency which after concluding all posts feed to MoH and other concerned Ministries to Act. Discussing alone has no meaning otherwise. more

It is the need of the hour to spread the urgency to enforce the Clinical Establishment Act throughout the country. A lot need to be done to educate our citizen to avoid huge medical expenses through proper advises and by creating awareness about the malpractices followed by Medical Professionals. Even without a separate Circle, health issues and the issues pertaining to prices of medicines & medical aids are widely debated by the circle members. I don't feel a separate circle will serve better purpose to resolve all the issues being referred/debated here. more
