Dear R P Guptaji Greetings and thanks for the mail Already INTAC and ASI of India have a great data base on heritage sites and are doing lot of work. Only think which i do not know is how much of integration and co-creation and co -operation they exhibit between them. If there is room for improvement we need to work on that kind of joint endeavours so that resources and brain power are all fully utilized Alread UN has a charter and division on preservation of Heritage sites . WE can learn from E U countries also and adopt them. All of you citizens of US are all aware of the system and procedure followed . Concurrently we need to educate our own local citizen to take care of the monuments and not vandalize them starting from the school audience as the base line and involvement of local citizen body. Maintenance of Heritage sites is a neglected subject so fare as Govt are concerned .Tourism can be a very good source of Income for Government as well as local people. In Bihar Hindu ancient temple ,killas Jain heritage sites, Sikhs heritage sites, Buddha heritege sites, reserve forests,Muslim heritage dargahs are very rich resource of income . If government must be developed road & security only and through internet and media it must e show in broad way. more  

Dear R P Gupta, The idea is great. The cheapest way to go ahead is to LIST all such Heritage sites, statewise. Then, CLASSIFY them into their historical category. Put them in a chronological order of value attached to them and the potential interest that Visitors may look upon. Then seek a finance budget for every year fom the Government. Give your ideas for developing these sites , may be ten sites at a time. This is the way to go ahead and further evolve and explore this area. 19. All the Forts built during the erstwhile Princely India shall be restored and declared as Heritage of India and promoted for Tourists. All the Palaces that are not maintained shall be restored to their glory and declared as Museums and shall be maintained as a Tourist attraction. All the Public buildings (Monuments) built during and before the Princely India shall be maintained as Heritage structures. more
