11. A study of international standards (Europe / US)should be done, which would help in implementing those techniques which would help to reduce the fire accidents
12. A heavy fine should be charged if a person is found smoking in the train
13. Train coaches could be painted with fire retardant paint
14. Each coach should have a fire extinguisher
15. Mobile and laptop charging points can be a potential problem source. railways need to install circuit breakers in case of sudden surge in load
16. Railways should carry out periodic inspection and insulation checking of circuits to detect possible "hazards" and "risks" due to deterioration and malpractice
17. Display Do’s AND Don ‘t in local language at platforms and inside trains
18. Once a coach is declared unfit, it should not be used with any train at any cost

Fire safety in trains can be effectively achieved but providing points for insulation checks for collective total system and individual section, sub section and equipment level. Automatic fault proof system could be designed and installed. For reporting fire smoke and heat sensors network with auto firefighting system could be installed. The system to incorporate hooters both at coach and guard/driver rooms with a time delay to start sprinkling water/FF powder depending on place. Fire reporting system or dedicated response no would give further boost. more

Railway Employees and Railway board members are bunch of Rascals.... Most of them do not report to duty but pay bribe to superiors and get the Salary without doing any work... Even railway board members are chor.. 1 was caught while taking bribe of Rs.100Crore.. !!! more

Sir, Public not get good food in trains Roti's are not well rosted and vegitables are always taste less. Please do somthing to make some standard in train cattring. Surendra Somani more
