India- China Escalation: Way Forward

Many of you in different circles have been writing about the escalation at the Indo-Chinese Border at Galwan valley where 20 Indian soldiers were martyred. Since then while China has continued to build up forces at the order, India has become conservative about clearing goods from China at its ports owing to intelligence reports. With this post, we seek your thoughts on what should be the way forward. Given the dependency on Chinese Goods and Raw Materials, can India really afford to boycott China economically?

While citizens can only do so much and ultimately the Government has to take decisions on how to manage this developing situation, the discussion can enable us to develop consensus amongst the collective as well as businesses and then perhaps sensitize the Government so all aspects are taken into account as it decides on the way forward.

We look forward to your inputs! more

Step by step import fro china should be reduced and give full efforts to make in India. We will have also to improve skills of working class. On this account very hards work will have to do. For this purpose all goverment systems are to be reviewed and make some required changes which are needed. more
I feel that the Chinese are upto something in Eastern Ladakh which they do not want the world to know. It may not be adverse to India, but they are upto something which is not in their territory. This is obvious from their behavior wherein all the talks are just timepass tactics while they achieve the real mission.. For this they are even willing to endure the wrath of the whole world. It is worthwhile for somebody in the world to get to know what they are upto. more
Exactly correct more
Our country needs large-scale efforts to ramp up manufacturing. This will help to import substitution. No knee jerk reaction is required, Whatever action we take ,it should be long lasting. more
We should try to find substitution for Chinese product where ever possible.Effort should be made to develop those substitutions. more
Feeling of patriotism among the people will boycott not only products but even Chinese and china. Our country needs large-scale efforts to ramp up manufacturing. This will help to import substitution more
