I do not have the facts but these numbers must be wrong. Potential Solutions to Improve Train Timeliness: Faster Infrastructure Development: Expediting the development of new tracks, modern signalling systems, and new trains could help reduce delays. The Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) are expected to help ease congestion by providing dedicated tracks for freight trains, leaving passenger trains with more capacity. Improved Technology for Tracking and Communication: Adoption of real-time tracking and better communication systems could help with timely updates to passengers and improve coordination between trains. Faster Upgrades of Older Lines: Upgrading older lines with modern electrification and better track maintenance would enable trains to travel faster and with fewer disruptions. Prioritizing Passenger Trains: Giving priority to premium passenger trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi could reduce delays, as these trains are meant to cater to the premium travel market. Passenger-Friendly Scheduling: More accurate scheduling and buffer times between trains can ensure smoother transitions between train services, avoiding delays caused by late arrivals. Reducing Unnecessary Stops: Reducing unscheduled halts and improving the station clearing time will also help cut down the overall journey time. Encouraging Public Feedback: Passenger feedback can be a crucial tool for identifying the main bottlenecks in operations. Platforms like LocalCircles can provide valuable insights into customer pain points, which can then be addressed by rail authorities. Conclusion: While Indian Railways has made strides in improving infrastructure and introducing newer trains, delays remain an issue due to a combination of operational, infrastructural, and external factors. Efforts to address these problems will require a multi-pronged approach, combining better infrastructure, modern technology, and efficient management of resources. If the situation continues to worsen, passengers will likely seek alternative modes of travel, like air travel or even private transport, especially when time is of the essence. The railway authorities will need to work proactively to ensure that travel times are reduced and passenger satisfaction improves. more
Yes People are fool to travel in vandebharat and other fast train./ Vande Bharat and tejas are booked in advance and are full. No booking available on same day at least in western railway. WE DO NOT AGREE WITH RAILWAY BOARD DIS CONTINUING 120 DAYS BOOKING. WITH 60 DAYS BOOKING PERIOD TOUTS and HIGH SPEED SOFTWARE BOOKING AGENTS TO BENEFIT AND CUSTOMER WILL CRY more
Please authenticate with train number and Railway time table. This seems to be a hysterical over reaction without authentic proof. more
