Indians are becoming poorer

Exchange Rate of INR(₹) Against USD($)

• November 2004 - ₹45.03
• November 2014 - ₹61.01

B. Patel has stated the state of the economy in the US as correct. It is so bad there that there are no jobs. You would have seen why Trump has been voted in with an absolute majority - because the economy is so bad. Hundreds of businesses have closed down and the price of gas/petrol is definitely $6 for 3.78 liters. Please note it is for 3.78 litres and not one litre, Mr. Narayan My daughter lives in the US and she has said the same thing. My point is when the PM stated that the former government had a hand in the increase in price of the dollar then why has the dollar risen so high during his reign??? Stop the import of excess oil and ration petrol for all Indians. Why did they not make use of solar power decades ago??? because they get a lot of money from oil. In today's Indian Express it said that people with 50 Lakhs income p.a. has risen substantially in our country. Only a few are getting richer and they are from the government. Have you seen the plight of the poor in India. Please go to the rural areas, you will see the gist of what I am saying. Nothing has changed in the villages for the last 75 years. It is only the baniyas, shop keepers, businesses that are putting up the prices and the government is encouraging them to do so. The price of a loaf of brown bread has risen by 40% in one year. I am diabetic and have to consume that. What of my medications. They have rised a 100%. The PM and his government are completely responsible for this state of affairs and nobody else is to blame. more
Income of the people must increase as per inflation. It should cover all the citizens irrespective of Private or Govt. more
This is a global trend but it would not be true to say that the Indians have become poorer because of the Indian currency has plunged to the lowest in comparison to USD. Go out of your home to witness yourself the living standard our people had during 2004 or 2014 and that of today. Even you can compare your own living standard of this period. more
