So many claims of IR to have milestones, seem to be dishonest, because inspire of lifting covid restrictions, previous facilities Are not restored Again. senior citizens are not given concession, bedrolls too not provided.
Even new trains are not started to have connectivity.
Bed roll charged must be deducted from fAre.
Senior citizens are given inner lower berths in their quota.side lower berths R not given.

23-03-2022 Dear Sir, Please look into another incidence : I booked train tickets yesterday - PNR No.8549835787 / train No. - 01665 - Third AC for 31-03-2022 from RKMP ( Rani Kamlapati - Habibganj ) to DNR ( Danapur )-- for myself - age - 74 along with my two grand kids for the age of 12 and 9. At the time of my booking train ticket , there ONE lower berth was available - in quota, I made payment in hope that at least I shall be provided ONE lower berth for me, at the age of 74 +. But, I am sorry to mention that berths were allotted to me middle and upper . I feel unhappy over the situation that at this age and along with my two grand children - at least one lower berth could had been allotted to me . I feel sorry GAYA PRASAD more
The main issue is with railway union. These people are goons. Only hard handling by authorities can make things work again. more
Indiaqn Railway must start providing senior citizen concession with immediate effect . I travelled from patna to Indore with wife on 11-03-2022 in AC III coach, both are of age 70 and 75 and had been forced to carry / travel with one extra baggage of linen. Immagine , with one extra handbag of linen, which could had been avoided, at this age. more
Indian Railways discontinued the provision of bed rolls in AC coaches at a time when the entire nation had been worst hit by Covid cases and considering the bed rolls in trains as one of the main sources of spreading the disease. It was an unpleasant decision taken to save the nation and its citizens from the deadly disease. However, the facility has since been reintroduced. As far as restoration of various concessional facilities, hopefully the same will also be restored early. Meanwhile, we should not forget that due to Covid, the railways have incurred huge financial losses during last two years and there is nothing wrong if such losses are made up to some extent by postponing the restoration of concessional facilities for some more time. more
By not providing bed rolls in trains and not lowering the tariff accordingly, Railways was dishonest. Effective 10th March, it has started providing bed rolls but not restored the concession to senior citizens. Further it has restored all most all trains and categorised most trains as super fast trains with more stops and additional unreserved compartments so that it earns the additional revenue. On top of it, all trains run to their full capacity and of course with over crowding in unreserved compartments besides passengers with daily tickets occupying reserved compartments by which railways earning additional revenue. In view of this, I apprehend that restoration of concession to senior citizens is doubtful. Politicians will go scot free in giving freebies to safe guard their vote bank. Similarly, crorepathis of so-called agriculturists accounting for nearly 70% of income not paying single paise as tax. more
Railways should set an example of honesty and sincerity towards its passengers. Without providing an amenity (Bed Roll etc. in AC coach) but, charging for the same, is an immoral and dishonest act. I am sure the Govt. of the day would not like its citizens or business community to follow the example being set by the Railways. By not charging for such amenities, neither the Railways nor the Govt. would be poorer. Indian Railways system is availed by all citizens, poor or rich. Poor cleanness in railway compartments, platforms and toilets not only gives a bad name to the railways but it also retard the progress in “Swach Bharat Abhiyan”. more
