Is India inviting trouble via European tourists

from today foreign tourists can start arriving in India, attached is a list of 99 countries whose travellers have been granted quarantine-free stay in the country, if fully vaccinated.

Covid is going through the roof in many european countries and US is about to get bad within next 30 days post thanksgiving

Can we please discuss if flights from countries with TPR above X% be suspended till things settle in europe.

Same mistake was made in January this year with UK. Can we afford it again?? more

The epidemic had spread all over the globe during last two years. Therefore, its meaningless to accuse the government again and again that our nation could be saved from it had the government banned international flights four or six months earlier than it was actually done! Since March, 2020 international flights and tourism activities are almost at standstill and the nation can't afford any more to get these suspended indefinitely. However, all needed precautions must be applied and strictly followed in dealing with the tourists arriving from foreign nations. The feasibility of banning the flights and tourists from the countries which are still worst affected by the virus, for few more months should also be examined. more
Vaccination certificate/RTPCR -tive report be made compulsory and strict guidelines to all foreigners to follow covid protocol. Self employed/small businessmen had suffered badly during the last 2 years and many have become bankrupt. Govt. cannot not support financially like Govt. employees/pensioners who continue to get full salaries/pensions during the pandemic. There is large population who prefer earning for family even at the risk of their life. We should always think of have nots as far as economic activity is concerned. more
Agree. It would be prudent to defer arrivals of international travellers by another 6 months. more
can't agree more. This is seriously putting India on Danger path once again. This disease has been brought in by Foreigners and situation would have remain under control in our Country if GOI would had banned flights at appropriate time. more
Could have been delayed till mid Jan to avoid post-NewYear festivities induced infections. more
