Is the Govt thinking inheritance tax

There is a sudden surge in last few months among very large corporate houses to set up family offices in tax-friendly jurisdictions like Dubai & Singapore. What do they know what we don't!

Well it seems the Govt may be considering inheritance tax. This will be disaster of an idea. Dir the Govt not read the Localcircles report.

If you think first people
Will pay inheritance tax and then feed the corrupt babus to work done, you are clueless.

Please do not introduce inheritance tax. If you do, Me and many others will not vote you again. more

Generally while imposing a tax, Govt. interest is only in collection of tax without considering inconvenience or problems that could be faced by the tax payers. But, in the case of income tax Govt. has done very well to make it easy for the honest tax payers to pay their taxes without any hassle or bribe to “Babus”. Like the income tax, Govt. should consider collection of inheritance tax from those who are eligible to inheritance the property etc. more
System for inheritance should be digitised fully and charges collected .Only authorised persons to handle holding licences for fixed fee more
Ground reality is bribe is inevitable which becomes a black money. Whereas, inheritance tax paid, goes to the Government which can be used for public purpose. Which is a better option? Bribe or Inheritance tax, if bribe can not be prevented. more
Earlier it was ESTATE DUTY. It should not be imposed as many people have no liquidity and are forced to sell part of assets to inheritance tax. more
Even large companies are not earning from their own mfg goods, whereas govt earning is fix. more
