Digitisation has made banking so convenient, and one may only to compare with post offices that are also into banking, with extant systems, such as pass books, or personally getting money with the using cheques, to notice how far banks have come. Transparency while also paper saving. See how much scaling up and scoping throughout for example demat accounts in stock trading where the bank acts as intermediary cum depository, has been achieved. Keep these positives into reckoning when discussing bank websites and apps. more
I have very bad experience about Airtel Payment bank. Recharge was done on 20th February for Airtel Prepaid. But transaction was not successful, but I had to wait for almost two months to get refund- after many visits to Mulund East gallery, calls on 400 & 121, mails & Tweets. Is there any time limit for refund of failed transactions- rules by RBI? CAN ANY BANKER EXPLAIN? more
Ideally, one must avoid transactions as far as possible through app enabled financial institutions except scheduled banks. more
I realized that the SBI online banking was created by the babus for the babus. The system replicates the old paperwork and does nothing to simplify or intuitively act on the user inputs. This is also true for most government websites. I guess the babus who finally decide the designs are too old and incompetent to take decisions on form design nor do they have the skills, but since they are in the decision making position, the result is for all to experience and curse our fate. more
Banking has become more cumbersome rathee than convenient. Firstly in Bank wherever you go the que has gone up three. To four folds. And the. Too bankers try to find faults and workis nt done in one shot though you have the apers. Eg KYC " Some years back no one heard of it. Now every year we need to give applin for and papers to complete it. Secondly passbook print " que of course is there but the print is so bad that it is hardly. Readable. And then direct credits or debits " many a times the banker too does have have full details of from where or for what it is? These are justa few more
