Kidney Rackets in India

There is a huge demand supply gap for kidney transplant. Poor donors are lured with a small sum and exorbitant amount is charged from receivers. As per report in TOI only 8000 people get kidney transplant out of waiting list of 4 lakh. The reason is that 90% of donations come from a living donor, whereas in other countries a majority take place after death.
Therefore government may consider the following suggestion:
In our country a large number of people die every day from accidents. These accidents also result in loss of bread winner of the family. A law may be enacted for retrieval of organs of accident victims by the hospital and a decent sum may be given to his dependents. Such organs can be provided to those needing organs for an amount covering the hospital charges and the amount given to relatives. more

A very progressive suggestion. Hope the government responds favourably more
There is another innovative suggedtion that it should be made compulsory for all to donate their whole body upon death, since not only eyes or kidney, other vital organs like liver, pancrease, intestines, cartilage, heart, bones, arteries, face accute shortage and the many patients die ever day or remain handicapped for life, for want of such body organs, but at the same time, we either cremate-burn or bury the dead, purchasing 4-5 quuntals of wood, for which jungles have to be cut and upon burning of the dead, there are very strong n stinking smelling gases are released which again pollute the environment. The new crematory or burial spaces are also a big problem esprcislly in cities. Moreover, no one wants crematory or burial place near their residence or market places. To start with the worthy PM must start this innovstive scheme thru Man KI Baat or thru The Presudrbt of India, the State Givernors, Chief Ministers, and other ministers, MPs, MLAs, , propogate the scheme thru celebrities like Sh. Amitabh Bachan, Ms. Lata Mangeshkar, Sh. JAVED Akhtar, Sh. SALMABN KHAN, Sh. AMIR KHAN, Sh. Shahrukh KHAN,,thru religious and spiritual Masters, NGOs, Trusts, Cheritable Institutiond, that deviating from the traditional manner everybody should follow this ecological and scientific manner of disposing off the dead, all of whom should declare during the ads. itself that they have all donated their whole body. Govts. must come up with various Honoring and incentive schemes for the full body donors and their families, like providing Govt job to one person in the family or priority in house/flat/allotment or college admissions in professional or other courses to his/her children/grand children/ other dependents, or one time monetory benefit to others. The dead body can also be used by the medical scholars for research tti reveal many unknown secrets this human machine possess es. After retrieval of all vital/useful organs,, the body be either burried by the hospital and a big plant grown upon, the place of burial, so as to serve as manure for the plant, and provide oxygen to the environment OR the dead body, then can also be handled over to the relatives of the deceased if demanded..Media coverage be given initially to such donations completed more
