Many a time the TTE is at the receiving end. If he allowed general ticket holders to travel in reserved coach some other passenger would have file complaint and blaming TTE of corruption. Many times the general ticket holding passengers behave in a rude and insulting manner with the TTEs. Due heavy workload during festivals and out of control crowd this kind of situation arise. Long back I also had such a bad experience while travelling from Pune to Solapur. Whole reserved coach was taken over by general ticket holders and passengers having reserved were not able to enter the coach, such was the crowd inside. After trying more than 10 minutes or more I was able to enter the coach just in time. After boarding it was another herculean task to reach the seat booked. I such cases a TTE may loose temper. It is better to understand the situation. more

Is there any way for any member of Local Circles to reach the concerned minister with such grievances direct? Even Local Circles do not permit it. Why? Because nobody is interested. more

TT has neither right to beat out general passengers from reserved compartment nor allow them into reserved one. more

TTE does not have any right to hit the passenger. Agree with Mr Sharad. But this situation might have arised because of hot altercation. more
