People have to be always watchful, careful and verify any offerings that sound very tempting or are ridiculous. If people are gullible, they could be taken for a ride. Having said this, sometimes tricksters are just too clever and despite alll safeguards they may succeed. Make sure to lodge official complaints with law enforcement agencies to ensure that the menace is checked. Tricksters and scamsters have always existed and will probably continue to be around. We just need to be responsible to report such instances and increase awareness. more
Scams have always been there and will always be there. Scamsters keep up with technology too and their methods evolve with technology trends. It is our individual duty to be careful. As they say, if something is too good to be true, it is probably so and we should be extra careful. Above all, never click on any link sent thro text messages because it may lead you to a bogus site or put some malware in your phone. What can the government or police do in that case? more
Again this should be reported and investigated by intelligence but lets not push some regulations that are going to do nothing to stop this activity by criminals. more
Plain and simple fact is never buy or take anything that is offered like and never give any personal information to anyone over the phone. This sort of stuff happens all over the world. About two years ago an Indian couple living in middle of USA got a call like this from someone who wiped out their bank account of $20000. more
very good information more
