Local suburban stations in chennai dont have ticket vending machines

Request Railways to install simple ticket vending machines which can operate if we put 5 rs and 10 rs currency and also prepaid cards should be sold along with SBI and other nationalised banks with railways . This will avoid long queue in stations and also paper ,printing in printers and windows .just have one window for query and support .People will get used to this machines . current machines are very poorly maintained and complicated . more

Ticket vending machines have already been installed in many stations of South Central Railways few years back. more
You can write to the DRM as well as the Railway Minister to repair/replace the faulty machines or put in place any other ticket vending system in place for the benefit of passengers to reduce rush at the booking counters. more
The problem can be resolved but there is interest to resolve the issue because the Unions and the Opposition will reap the benefit. Basic problem is to instill discipline to the crowd and self discipline and patience. If this strictly ensured then there is no problem anywhere. Who will bell the cate. IN the name of democracy and vote bank politics no one is cared for this. more
It will be good if they follow the metro train principle of having cards or coins issued which can be purchased and dropped off at exit .They should design the system something similar to metro for all suburban trains in kolkata/mumbai/chennai etc on the same lines and this will help customers and also suburban authorites in their day to day hassles in this digital technology age.Our railway minister needs to drive this.Ideally we need a more tech savvy minister in these places for better management more
Also At Tambaram and Egmore stations passengers coming from outside locations have to run for suburban tickets early in the morning and late at night . Simple ticketing machines should be installed in all platforms .Also suburban trains in Tambaram in the mornings should stat from platform 6 as outstation trains are recd in platform 5 more
