GOOD NEWS...LETS SEE HOW MUCH IT WORKS... BECAUSE I HAVE TAKEN VERY WORST EXPERIENCE IN APRIL-MAY 2016 SUMMER VACATION. THERE WERE MORE THAN 300 PASSENGERS INSTEAD OF 72 SEATS IN ONE COACH, IF YOU THROWS SOME MUSTERED THEN NONE OF PIECES YOU FIND ON TRAIN'S FLOOR. THERE FORE ITS A CRITICAL CHALLENGE TO INDIAN RAILWAYS TO TRAVEL WITH CONFIRM TICKETS . more
Most of the ATVMs (automated ticket vending machine) in Howrah and Sealdah Stations of Eastern Railway are out of order for long time. Do the Unions of railway staff fear curtailment of manpower of ticket booking staff if all the ATVMs work properly? So those ATVMs are not repaired, once a machine goes out of order. Some ATVMs do not contain any paper roll, so no printed ticket comes out of those machines though the fare is deducted from the pre-paid card of the passenger. more
Thousands of passengers travel from Howrah Sections of South Eastern & Eastern Railways and Sealdah Section of Eastern railway daily. They travel between Howrah Station & Sealdah Station by bus, taxi etc. Though the distance is just 4 KMs, it takes often more than 1 hour for traffic jam. travel time between Howrah Section and sealdah Section may reduce substantially, if EMU local service is introduced from ANDUL station (S.E. Rly. - Howrah Section) to DUMDUM station (Eastern Rly. - Sealdah Section) through Andul Jn. - Bankranayabaj - Rajchandrapur - Bali Halt - Bali Ghat - Dakshineswar - Baranagar Road - Dumdum Jn. It would not only facilitate Howrah Section and Sealdah Section but also Bardhaman Chord and Bandel Section also by - 1) reducing travel time to great extent and 2) Reducing pressure on both Howrah and Sealdah stations. Lakhs of people would be benefited. Please start the service on trial basis at least for 6 months. more
