LocalCircles Impact: Govt brings new rules for taxi aggregators

Many of you enthusiastically participated in the LocalCircles survey last year on app taxis like Uber, Ola, etc. to share issues faced and areas where action from Government is needed.

One of the top issues raised by the circle was the frequent cancellation by drivers and the need for a penalty in case the driver or the app cancels the ride along with a reasonable cap on surge pricing. Today, we are pleased to share with you that based on LocalCircles survey and constant follow ups, the Government has announced new rules for taxi aggregators. Below is the link to our survey and attached are the rules.

Govt acts on LocalCircles survey and submission to bring rules for taxi aggregators

Thanks for being an active member and raising issues. Do share your inputs on these rules! more

Kudos to the efforts of Local Circles. more
The guidelines and the innumerable proofs submitted my consumers establish that Uber, Ola etc were actually looting the customers. Now GOI must penalize heavily above service providers to set an example hardly seen nowadays. more
