Lockdown Criteria

Every chief minister is slowly backtracking on the comment they made “no lockdown”

Soon the “prime minister” will have to do that too.

They were all super wrong last year to have imposed lockdowns when they were not needed and now when they are needed they are giving stupid statements.

This poll right here is the need of the hour. A lockdown is needed in 300 districts of India where we have 2000+ active cases and TPR above 10%

If we dont do that in the next 2 weeks, we will be dealing with this till end of the year.

Instill sense in these leaders. They have already driven us to the ground. If we dont tell them to act now we will be 50 feet under and it will take a long long time to come out.

This weekly extension of lockdown in Delhi or Haryana is a useless approach. Wont make much difference more

Depression among individuals, inflation and staying home when action needed being the reason why there is huge cost associated with lockdowns. Imponderables that may require intuitive intelligence, such as gardener mulching the irrigated plants, done only insitu, all face the consequence of a broad decisively thought out lockdown. Chain reaction follows, just like supply chains being disrupted. Critical inputs from nature's agents, for example rain quenching fertilised soil, would stand thwarted. Lockdown could even be justified, if we see drastic improvement in survival rate from the pandemic. Nothing such happening, with only governments becoming control freaks! Politicians get the escape route. Entire populations being vaccinated, now since vaccine has been developed, the ultimate safeguard, rest experimentation only. Last year Union government experimented, embolded now state governments experimenting futher lockdowns. Governments, saved by them being treasuries, must feel what ordinary citizens, who need to earn their way through treatment, feel. more
The current lockdown in Karnataka ends on 12th. The Karnataka CM, Yediyurappa, says " extension of lockdown will depend on PM's direction". What is the need for a CM when he cannot decide on his own state. Let the PM run the state. more
The question is not of whether there will be a lockdown extension or not. Why does the CM have to ask the PM everytime what to do. He has a set of advisors and ministers. Can't they help him take a decision. And where has his thinking gone? more

It seems no one is prepared for the Oxygen shortage. Hospital beds are also required, but not available. The state governments nor the Central Government has plan to erect temporary hospitals to meet the challenge. Private Hospitals are charging abnormal charges and exploiting the public. more
Lockdown is the need of the day. Even our courts also agree on that after due preparations. Unfortunately serious problems like oxygen and hospital bed availability appear keeping the Govt. machinery busy and leaving any time to plan lockdown. More delay means more loss of lives. more
When the threat is on capacity of Hospital infrastructure compared to new covid infection , lock down is must . It is not an option. more
