Long period of ticket booking before 120 days

Sir,
Ticket booking before 120 days is very long time. In present busy life, people cannot travel plan before 120 days. Ticket booking before 60 days was sufficient period for planning.
It will increase the corruption in rail ticket booking due to not proper travelling planning because long period of ticket booking.
We request you; please reduce the ticket booking time from 120 days to 60 days. more

Why you want to deprive people of booking tickets who can plan their travels? Those who can not plan travels in advance may take route of tatkal. What is needed is curbing wrong practices followed by some people with the help of Railway staff. If a person has Headache medicine should be given instead of chopping the Head... more
I agree with Mr.Shrivastava and 120 days window should be reduced to 45-60 days. Due to 120 days window, now a days we do not get any tickets for long route trains. more
I strongly feel that booking railway tickets should be started just 30 days in advance (or less). A large number of people buy tickets because they feel they may travel but have to cancel their tickets. This is perhaps profitable to the Railway (I am not sure) but causes inconvenience to who cannot plan their journey earlier than FOUR months; mostly they can buy only WL (wait list) tickets (and remain panic till the day of journey) or try to buy tatkaal tickets (may fail to get tickets). May be there are more people who expect to travel than number of actual seats/berths available. This is certainly the case in the peak seasons (for instance, before and after Diwali). We expect distribution of tickets should be such that maximum people find it convenient. more
Quite right booking time should be reduced to 60 days. more
I agree with Mr Srivastava,120days is too long a period. It should be reduced to 60 days.Longer period will only help touts and not passengers. more
