Loot by Swiggy and zomato

I have paper evidence of how swiggy and zomato are bumping food prices of restaurants by 20%-50% and manipulating the Indian consumer. Same food if you go to restaurant is seling for 600, you will see prices of 800-1000 on their app.

I complained about this several months back but the Govt has not taken any action.

I urge LocalCircles members and the platform to take this up. If people knew this atleast 50% will stop ordering and that will force the platforms to stop this seperate loot based online menu.

And these platforms say its restaurant who is doing so. Thats not the case the platforms are forcing restaurants to doing so.

My ask is simple, display instore price and online price to the consumer and let them decide.

LocalCircles please take this up. more

It's not only food aggregators even cab aggregators are looting. Their per kilometre price never matches. I remember the day's when uber and ola advertised rates as Rs. 6/-, Rs. 8/- which actually was not just to wipe out local taxi operators. Even now the pricing with surge on almost maximum time of the day is too steep. more
Manuel Aaron: Both of them cheat. Once I ordered a package of 5 items from KFC. AFter the delivery boy had left, I found that two of the ordered items were not in the package. I complained and nothing happened. On anot0her occasion the bill included an item: Serving India Rs 5. I protested. But nothing happened. So, I dont buy through these two cheats. However, I do not agree that home food is tastier. Definitely restaurant food, is tastier. Only go in person to the restaurant and eat without worrying over defective delivery and deliberate overcharging. more
Quite often, the delivery boys steal food intransit. Buyer should be given the option of open delivery. more
Ordering food does not mean that we give the cheaters a right to bill you as they like and give you less stuff. Rates and quantity should be fixed. I appreciate Mukul Puri's efforts. Yes the cost and quantity should be decided and transparent... more
Eat home made foods, which are more testy, healthy and much much cheaper.:Why go for swiggy or any one else. If you prefer the foods supplied by these apps rather than healthier, testier and cheaper home made foods then why complain! more
Oh my this is one of the silliest concern I have seen posted. What do you pay for the convenience for getting delivered to the door is up to you. Don't want to pay that, don't order. more
