Lots of Cyberfrauds through matrimonial websites/apps

Lots of Cyber frauds are happening through matrimonial websites. Such cases reported almost every month. 2) Both men & women are victims in matrimonial fraud cases. In 2022, DCW issued notices to matrimonial sites to prevent creation of fake profiles. But unfortunately, matrimonial frauds by fake profiles are reported almost every month.

- Why not proper KYC model?
- Why not verification of users?
- Why so many fake profiles?

Can LocalCircles Manager take this up please. All members may share experiences more

Now a days Marriages are more of Commercial value. Only Boy and Girl know each other thru common Job or common College. Family is hardly involved. more
Yes, there is a dire need to frame policy to discipline such portals. Now a day many such sites are opened and everyone is very cooperative and gives big hope till financial transaction is incomplete. Later hardly cares rather advice for upscaling your category in high premium group. So many fraud profiles are there who are only interested to talk to the bride only. In case any one's feature is questioned, one may experience a big jerk on knee. I had a very poor experience of many sites and no one takes any responsibility. more
It is up to the persons to check the facts before developing a relationship. Trust but verify. One should not be so gullible. One should not judge the book by the cover. Read the book and not get attracted by the cover only. Meet strangers in a public place before you develop confidence and confirm the person is genuine. All that glitters is not gold. more
Increase the presence in society , Peoples , friends rather than time spending on social media websites. It will provide you the best results. more
THe issues raised by Mr Sudesh Rai are highly relevant. Verification of persons who register on these sights is a MUST. Some legislation would be needed to ensure that the Matrimonial site promoters follow the correct registration procedure to minimise faudulent usage of these sites more
