Mahakumbh Mela feedback

World's largest human gathering for Maha Kumbh . Security, cleanliness efforts, Toilets and changing rooms for women are appreciable. But
1. There should have been entry in Prayagraj only after registration and only that many should have been registered for each time slot which can comfortably be accommodated.
2. There are only two bridges for traffic, one of which is reserved exclusively for VIPs and emergency vehicles. More bridges for traffic should be built for future.
4. Foot overbridges for pedestrians should be constructed at all road crossings. Pedastrians crossing the roads otherwise is leading to long traffic jams.
5. Ropes should be tied on footpath edges so that pedestrians do not walk on roads and there are no accidents and traffic jams because of that.
6. More pedestrian bridges should be made up to Triveni ghat / Sangam Nose point.
7. Drinking water dispensers should be installed in the entire area after every 1 km.
8. Prepaid auto / rickshaw / boat stands should be there at several convenient locations.
9. There should be control on pricing of auto / rickshaw / boat and other things and a dedicated call centre to address complaints related to any violations.
10. Information desks and maps should be there after every 2 kms in 10 kms. radius. more

All said and done, despite crores and crores of people taking holy dip, the entire Mahakumbh has been well organised barring 2 unfortunate incidents. Kudos to CM Yogiji and his entire team who have put in enormous efforts. more
Knowing full well the prevailing spirituality among us, the administration should have predicted the crowd well in advance. The promoters of such events should also be ready with extensively well planned gauging the crowd that thronged on crores. Anyway let not the Administration wait next year for things to happen and feel sorry. more
Good suggestions/inputs to provide better amenities to visitors, but it needs huge financial support that cost the exchequer badly. Ultimately who will bear the burden. Why there was no firm plan to minimise VIP culture restricting it for few hours in a day. All top politicos are making it a big show up to enjoy the confidence of electorates. Such culture and religious practices should not be entertained by the common people. That will set right everything in track. more
There is a learning - hopefully such things will not happen 12 years on more
There is no point in allowing gathering of extraordinary proportions without making proper arrangements for travel and holi dip! prior registration of everyone at entry point is a must ! NO separate VIP arrangements for anyone except for security considerations ! more
