make railway better
railway should have more compartments in trains. railway have locomotives that can pull 40-50 compartments. we should increase the size of trains. more

Goods train doesn't stop on platform. Increasing platform length is a problem in cities so passager train length cannot be increased. Back to back running of two trains is good option which can be implemented on crowded routes. more

right, but I feel that the weight of one loaded wagon will be more than full passenger coach. further we are increasing the coaches only by about 20% .Any how, even if by increasing the engine capacity ,if we can add more coaches in overloaded routes,then capacity will be increased & we will be relieved of some pressure. It will further lead to better utilisation of resources....e.g. handling of trains running, better utilisation of platforms, better utilisation of tracks when we calculate passenger kms. However, additional staff will be required for additional coaches. more

Higher the load, lover the speed...if you observe goods train goes very slow since they have heavy loads....so there is a trade off ... Passenger train needs to have good speed so time travel reduces....at the end engine capacity needs to be increase further to carry more coaches without compromising speed... more

right, when the goods train can carry 70-80 wagons, then why not passenger trains. if not more, then at least a start trial can be made by an increase of 20% in plain land areas by adopting suitable technical changes required in the system. more
