Middlemen making all the money

everyone please see the attached which highlights plight of our farmer. For 6 bags of onion he gets INR 330 and INR 328 is freight.

So after selling 600 kgs of onion they get 2 rupees in hand.

We pay for 600 kgs of onion somwhere close to 18000.

Dont know where the retailers who were supposed to buy from the farmer are in this because these middlemen are just not giving them fair price.

On average they should get atleast 1800 for the 6 kgs minus the 328 frieght. Still make 1500 or so on 600 kgs

Otherwise we will see many farmers either dumping produce in drains and rivers or putting fields to fire.

Please share your input, what should be done? more

Rich behave as the developed country, making this binary, even being highhanded over the farmers, read the poor. They say how the west colonised India, and used up our resources, but themselves have now become the new overlords. Scatter chart shows this depite all the pious sayings, making them simply statements, that too now since dropped. Experience the agriculturists if one knows not. more

Now the facts too have been shown as attached below. Farmers are at receiving end of India's growing inequality - see the graph, showing agriculture's relative share! RBI's database, i.e. capital (K), labour (L), Material and Services (S), Quoting the relevant ones to the matter which in the scatterplot shows can be seen in the sample Cart of relative Income share divided by employment contribution for all 23 industries in the KLEMS database. Cannot solve this, transitioning from farm to factory, given how the vastly the value-addition related earning capacity varies, with agriculture and allied activities having incomes that remain the lowest. Or can we, making our Annadaatas, Urjadaatas too, as envisaged, fuel receiving government's high priority. more
That is the reason PM Modi brought farmer act but hate politics and mundi protested and law was withdrawn. When farmers agitated due to the pressures of politicians they have to face such problems. more
From Farmer to the Consumer in the City, a product changes many hands, say minimum 5-6. Each hand has a margin of profit say 30%. Then there is Transportation cost and Wastage. We have to do following. Kisan must have bigger Fields. We must have enough Storage/Cold Storages. So that Wastage can be minimized. Other losses must be reduced. more
