Minimum 10 or 20 people to administer vaccination

Was at a vaccination centre in Delhi yesterday where they were administering Covaxin. However, they said we will not open a vial until 20 people have reached the centre to ensure vaccine is not wasted. A senior citizen who is No. 21 is in a fix. He or she may not get vaccinated today if 16-18 others don’t reach the centre.

Same thing is happening with Covishield where a vial is 10 doses and if 10 people not there they ask you to come back.

As a result a lot of people are returning from the vaccination centers across India without being vaccinated.

Can we discuss a solution to this and propose to Govt via LocalCircles? more

Nothing wrong is ensuring that there is no wastage of the precious vaccine. Some inconvenience will be there to some. We should be happy that a massive vaccination program is on with low payment in private centers and nil at government centers. more
Absolute trash. This is just fake news. In Bangalore where I got Vaccinated, there was no such rule more
These are practical problems. This type of issues will be there until people come forward in good number to take the vaccine. Let us hope the situation improves. more
If a bottle/vial has still some vaccine left by the time of closing, it should be possible for the remaining vaccine to be preserved and used on the next day,Arrangements for this should be possible and duly made. more

Science of Pharmacy is so much flexible that it can dilute the initially building-up social mal-administrations with mal-adjustments due to the brand new social style phenomenon of Covid-vaccinations Look into the attached important information on oral-tablets to replace vaccine-injunction-shoulder-penetrations of men and women . more
