Misuse of Government vehicles

Many of you who have been in circles may remember my posts on this subject. Our continued conversation led to railways stopping new recruitment of bunglow peons/dak khalasi in Railways.

I want to once again point out how families of Govt employees misuse Government vehicle funded by taxpayer money (you and me)

I see govt of India vehicles parked at dance clubs 5 star hotels, malls, concerts, u name it. Why? Their families and children drive them as their own cars. Heck even speeding at times. Why.

Why can’t Government of India ban extracurricular usage of such vehicles. It can be used for Govt officials going to office and for official meetings or to drop them for travel for work. But the family must not be allowed to use it for shopping clubbbing, weddings dinners and gazillion other places.

We need GOI to pass a rule circular thats applicable to itself and all state government employees.

Please comment everyone and share my poste if u care. more

Its not misuse but its a right as per our Indian norms more
Why people require government vehicles standing and waiting for them, while most of them work in office and few of them for very few hours requiring transport which can be a pooled car or booked taxi accounted for. The savings on waiting time, driver salary, and unauthorized usage of vehicles will come down drastically. more
All govt. Vehicles should be discarded. Eligible officers should be given taxis with log books. more
Everything depends on individual own self. Every malpractice can be checked if the concerned system is firm for that cause. In our system there are dual definitions. Please ask yourself the answer that who is not aware with such malpractices. Until and unless component of the system think and act fairly nothing is possible. more
I fully agree. This is just the tip of the ice but if you see the corruption in road projects , tenders, infra projects , one will realise the nexus between the politicians, bureaucrats and the business people. Why do the roads in mumbai have to be tarred almost every year. why are there so man potholes in rains. There are so many questions. Judiciary is also to some extent responsible for the mess as there is no fear of law or stringent punishment. I am fighting my own case and can see it very clearly. more
