Mobile Number portability problems

My personal experience was a painful one. VI took for ever to get it done on their end and kept luring with offers. For 2.5 days there was no service at all.
I agree that is the operators are made to match then the existing operator will have one more excuse to delay the porting.

MOBILE PORTABILITY IS A LENGTHY PRICESS. NORMALLY THEY SAY YOUR MOBILE WILL BE CLOSED FOR HARDLU 1-3 HOURS BUT NEW OPERAFOR TAKES MINIMUM 3 DAYS SOMETIMED MORE ALSO BRDIRE MOBILE SERVICE IS STARTED more

Hey Shikha , it generally takes 1-2 days (actual timeline is only 4 hours) but Vodafone Airtel Jio are all reluctant to let of customers, they took 4 days in my case from VF to AIrtel, only after I gave them peace of my mind, did they do within 5 minutes, we have to keep pushing them more
