Mumbai/Delhi show whats coming for India

In last 7 days christmas to new year day Delhi has climbed from 249 to 2700 daily cases and Munbai from 750 to 6700 daily cases. Thats 8-12x rise in a week. See attached to believe.

At this rate Delhi will be 2 lakh daily cases in 2 weeks and Mumbai at 600000 in 2 weeks.

Imagine how it will be in small towns and villages.

The only solution is a national lockdown and that too within 72 hours.

Wake up India more

Experience we have had from the first and second waves suggest that nationwide lockdown is not a solution to the virus. The only results of such lockdowns is to ruin the country's economy and put millions of people unemployed. This is the reason why even the most developed nations are not willing to resort to such an action again. Had it been the solution, crores of people would have not died during last two waves. Moreover, where is the guarantee that this so called third wave is the last wave of the epidemic ! There may be fourth, fifth and unending waves during several years to come. The best way to be safe is the strict compliance of the Covid protocols by individuals and adherence to precautions area wise and state wise as per the demand of the situation prevailing thereat. more
Yes. The death cases also in rise. more
Lockdowns/shutdowns are not the solution but continuous enforcement of covid protocol. There are people for whom livelihood is more important than life. Just think of them. Severe restrictions suit only those who are being fed out of tax payers money for decades and will continue to do so in future as well. How many people have become bank defaulters and lost job for months/years ? BPL card holders are also least affected. Even after spread of omicron at a fast pace, no State/UT administration has thought it prudent to implement covid appropriate behaviour as both the elected as well as selected has got secure income and are not worried about the pandemic. more
What do you with a public which steadfastly refuses to follow any precautions? National lockdown is certainly NOT a solution. Remember, how our wonderful opposition and media whipped up massive hysteria when the first lockdown was introduced 2 years ago. Do you want a repeat of that? more
If more than 80% of the population are either vaccinated or attained Natural immunity than total lockdowns are Not going to bring down the infection rates. Hopefully, Omicron and future varaints will have milder Covid symptoms & effects thus herd immunity for entire country could be a possibility. more
