Need to understand risk of demographics disaster

If serious efforts are not made to engage the youth of this country in productive work, in less than 10 years India will become a haven for hooligans, chhapris, vandals, ruffians and street thugs who’ll enjoy police protection and political patronage at the expense of taxpayer money.

Post K12 , 70% of India's youth is not going to college, not getting skilled forget about meaningfully employed.

What netas tout as demographic dividend will soon be demographic disaster.

We must act. Netas 100% wont.
Most are uneducated and dont believe in education of the masses. more

Literacy is a must. Education is beyond literacy and we have very little of that. Schools and Colleges are run with a tick-box approach with coaching classes to help further in the tick-box approach. Gaining knowledge, learning, skills and expertise is extremely limited. That is a reason why most schools/colleges have poor attendance or even if students attend, they do not get what they should ideally get. Demographics is cyclical. In a country with the kind of population we have, we are unlikely to have a dearth of young people. The worries are more in terms of competence. Curriculums need to relate to practical aspects. Even the least interested set of people get into teaching as the last resort as it is not a profession that provides adequate compensation or career growth. For years prospective employers have found it difficult to get suitable people for jobs. Even professions low on skills find it difficult. Everyone going to school/ college passes with flying colours. In states like Kerala (Other states too) where they want to showcase high literacy, everyone passes examinations with a high percentage of marks. Some of them can't even read, write or communicate a few sentences properly which is a situation you would see across the country. This is creating a divide and a serious imbalance in society. Drastic attention is required and some hard measures are needed (without politics) to correct the situation soon. more
Sir, I urge you to consider the hard-working nature of Bharat's youth. Look around you. Maybe you know a startup entrepreneur. You atleast know the Zomato/Blinkit delivery boy who brings your food in rain? Enough said. How can you? How dare you question Ma Bharti's children? Have you never seen this https://youtu.be/Grsybk7JakQ?si=jtr5pXZ9LsN5Dc3m more
1. Stop all freebies. 2. Educate youth that all of them cannot get Government jobs. 3. Educate them for trade oriented jobs. more
Perhaps it's no way very wrong. Youths are still mostly unutilised. Govt must take corrective measures creating employment opportunities instead of sitting in a comfort zone. more
