No Bullet Trains please

Please scrap the very idea of introducing Bullet trains from Gujarat to Mumbai. This short distance of about 3 hours by Shatabdi (Bbay to Surat) and 6 hours by Shatabdi (Bbay to Ahmedabad) is tolerable. There is no need to waste sinful huge capital outlay on such a project- We cannot afford this as of now. Instead, lets use that much outlay on starting a elevated metro from Borivali to Churchgate on the SV road. The metro started from Andheri to Ghatkopar sector, perpendicular to the western route, is highly underutilized and this will result in a MASSIVE drain on the projected profitability. more

We do not need Bullet trains for the present turmoil condition of our nation from all angles, from security side, economic side, social and communal tolerance side, high price rise and the suffering of middle class and poor people, health and medical inadequacy prevailing, uneconomic behavior of Government officials, staff, elected members, Ministers etc, the unscrupulous attitude of manufacturers and wholesale/retail sellers, black marketing, Black money prevalence and increase in the society, etc. Let us sole all these problems first, avoid controversial Bill introduction, however good it may be, wasting parliamentary hours and public money.HENCE AVOID WASTEFUL EXPENDITURE OF THE PUBLIC MONEY AND SAVE NATION WEALTH. more
I fully agree with you Maheshji. The Bullet Trains are truly going to be a drain on the Indian economy. more
I fully agree with you. This money can be used for some other project which can be more beneficial to the public more
We need to also explore the CABLE CAR project - one running along the western route and another on the Eastern side parallel to the highway. Though this may not take up much pressure as the Railways, this will definitely help reduce and complement the existing work load on bus and trains. In due time, this can improve. The cable car project will also get commissioned much faster than the Metro. more
