We are talking gst in some circles here. I agree with suggestion in MRP circle. There needs to be something implemented by Govt where traders have to mandatorily issue an invoice for every sale made.
90% of Indias traders and distributors are buying and selling a large majority of transactions in cash. Till that is addressed and brought on to books, nothing will change.
If there is no income declared, where is the question of GST and compliance?

Most of general merchants are doing their business without issuing bills. We should aware in the matter. We should ask them to produce the bill. Our mentality is to save the tax but these people play mischief and create lot of black money. We should purchase the essential items through cashless transaction. Generally the household items, vegetables, milk and other items are sold without bills. The sellers are free from the billing and causing huge loss to the government to the income-tax and other taxes. more

GST implementation looks like ST/CST/Excise/Service & other Taxes ,Because we are not having a Standard selling Practice even today small transctions are without bills. And more then 50% raised bills are not shown because m/cry involve for checking has alliances and 90% CA job major part is as intermediatery for Tax avision. Corruption slightly modified but it is @ same or in higher % Hopefully after some yrs we will introduce other nominclature as solution for minimising corruption. My suggestion is one time Tax that too at the time of fixing the price of Product. and the price tag contain all details for geniune pricing. more
