OROP

Indian Defence Minister made it clear at a press conference that we are looking into the various technicalities, but it is sure that this government will make OROP happen. Ex servicemen do not believe him.
But they must trust the words of Honourable Prime Minister, who assured from the ramparts of Lal Qila for the whole world to know it. Why then hunger strike and humiliation?
I am pained to see them on huger strike at this age. Their advisers must sit with Def Min or PM and get the timeline. more

No doubt that the senior citizen (ex-servicemen) are annoyed the delay of implementation of OROP. But the present hunger strike and other protest is politically movement behind them playing by the political party. The ex-servicemen is definitely having the maximum patience and tolerance. But the government should take the situation immediately and implement the same or other wise the opposition parties will take advantage with the view that due to their protest they have achieved the legal right. The PM must interfere immediately and announce the OROP scheme. more
One Rank One Pension likely on 28th August, on 50th anniversary of 1965 war with Pakistan. http://www.gconnect.in/news/one-rank-one-pension-likely-on-28th-august.html more
Yes! How about Public Opinion about MPs Pay & Perks and Pension (For 5 years of Non-productive work), Bureaucracy's Pay & Perks including NFU (A unique tool to pay every BABU a Pay & Perks and 'Pension' equivalent to Maj Gen (entire cadre - IAS/IPS/IFS/Judges etc.), irrespective of selection/qualification...So, no agitation required). I feel sad to see, our own people writing against our Soldiers...First, try and join the Defence Services and serve the Nation with your Blood & Sweat...Only than you are entitled to comment on OROP !!! more
Garewal ji, good suggestion. In fact government should seek suggestions from the public on the critical issues, compile them and analyze. more
Give them OROP, but reduce the pension to the middle of highest and lowest. more
