Overcharging of RTPCR test

The drug controllers in most parts of the country are either sleeping or making money from path labs through their inspectors.

Whatever it is massive overcharging is taking place on RTPCR test and the drrug controller general of India needs to be shaken up to do his job or fired from his job.

Can LocalCircles please escalate this up. We cannot let status quo. I am attaching 5 receipts from different cities of India.

These people are taking advantage of us citizens. more

Few days ago topic regarding over charging R T- PCR all over the country. In maharashtra if test is carried out at any government unit, air ports etc. they charge Rs.500.00, where as private labs charge Rs.800/-, for patient reports at labs and for home testing Rs.1000 to 1200/-. Some southern states have been charging Rs.1700/- if reported at labs and for collecting samples from home Rs.2700/-. . When the rates capped st Rs.500/- the labs recusing to collect sample and testing. The charges should be uniform through out the country. Many patients are senior citizens, patients with no income or only bread winner affected by covid or patients with no affordability suffers in obtaining negative certificate, due to high cost. Respective authorities should urgently confirm uniform charges for RT-PCR test and save people from disaster. more
