These issues could be appointment delays, change of name issues, resolution by regional passport officer, police verification or arrival of final passport

We encourage all who have had an experience in last 2 years including NRIs at Indian Consulates abroad to share their inputs!

Once we understand the issues, we will have a follow on discussion and the final output will be shared with External Affairs Ministry to implement the recommendations.

We look forward to your inputs! more

The servicing in most consulates are good and reasonable, except in Middle east, due to higher population, Indian consulate have outsourced the services, adding high cost to the services due to agency fees of outsourced agencies, which must be looked into Also the major issue in passport issue in India is Police verification and corruption involved therein. which is very rampant and high, which need to be checked more
While my recent experience has been very good, there is still many aspects that can be streamlined to reduce waiting time and increase efficiency. Any external requirements like Police verification should be done before the applicant is asked to come to PP office for some of the requirements.Once the national Crime records are integrated, even finger print verification can be done at the Issuing office before PP is issued. more
The process of issue or renewal of passport got stream lined through Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). However only irritant is Police Verification for which 3 weeks time is given. It is suggested that an all India criminal database should be made available to PSK to do the verification of antecedents of the applicant. more
from indian consulate ,issued passport have not any problem more
The Passport Office in Malappuram collecting Rs 400/- as additional charges (no receipt). it is over the fees of 1500 paid online for new passport. when asked not explained well. it should have told when applying online that additional so much to be paid at the passport office, then people can keep it in hand, please look in to it, thanks more
