The whole country is fully dependant on plastic items. Let there be some brain storming excercise. more
To save the nature and pollution, the Govt should take strict law to ban and use of plastics. The only fear of the Govt is how to close these units and manufacturers of raw materials. Moreover, if it is not possible in large populated country, the Govt./ public should take the help of Supreme Court as done to get vacated bunglows by former politicians. more
Good idea. Varity and attractive paper bags can be made with papers other than newspapers. more
Yap , that is catching on slowly. This should come first in the consumer groups , where no end for complaints about selling over M.R.P. for water and soft drinks . Why not a public movement join together and advice all those who complain about the overpricing , to abstain from ordering . more
Respected Bhatia j, I my opinion, we should not seek Govt action on each and every issue. Let it be a people's movement for the people and by the people. Paper / cloth bags should adopted by all of us. more
Those who are elderly people may remember when plastic was not there,we were using paper thelis and cloth bags. This was not creating any problem like plastic menace. Why can't we do it again? Now in last 50+ years technology has also seen lot of changes and further improvements can be done. more
Bangalore has started that .The hotels charge exorbitantly for packing dry and wet items .They also put up notices to bring their own containers . Now it is a common scene in Bangalore to see even the younger ones take cloth bags and metal containers for food . I have started this now though I am not young to feel shy to do it. more
