Be practical..first petrol and diesel are taxed bcos a person who is using vehicle can afford that extra cost. let them pay atleast this way to govt. iltimately lower income people will benefit. leave this issue to Modi, he will do it at the right time right way. hav patience. dont waste your time fighting. accept and support him he will justify more
But today the so called poor people are also having 4 and 2 wheelers. Even retired class IV govt employees are having sedan cars. All private security guards, gardeners, road sweepers, domestic helps, carpenters, masons, collies are having are having 2 wheelers. I have failed to understand who is poor in India. Farmers are having top end cars but they are very poor as per the govt. more
No party will like to bring the petroleum products under GST as each party has its Government in one state or the other. Each State Government wants to enjoy the revenue generated through the VAT on the petroleum products. more
Rightly narrated. more
There are four products that none of the Govt. wants to bring it under GST. Petrol Diesel Gas Liquor These are products which gives maximum revenue to the Govt. Whatever may the price the consumer will keep on buying it after making hue and cry. Politicians are least bothered as it doesn't effect them at all. more
Government needs funds to pay life time pension to MPs and MLAs even if they get elected for one term. The increase in their pensions at regular intervals is decided by themselves. In addition pension is paid to all retirees from government with increase in DA from time to time. Various facilities provided to MPs and MLAs like free travel in First AC in trains, travel at govt cost in Planes etc. Therefore you should be surprised that No Opposition Party has demanded bringing Petrol & Diesel under GST more
None of the political parties who are ruling in many states also do not want it because this brings them a lot of money. Also, higher prices will make people think a bit before polluting the atmosphere with fossil fuel burning. more
