PM's visit to Bangalore - educational institutions closed

Holiday has been declared for educational institutions in Bangalore along the route that the Prime Minister is passing through. At a time when the schools and colleges have just restarted after a 2 year hiatus, disrupting the classes just because of his passing through the area is definitely not required. And definitely there will be holdup to traffic along his route. And the govt talks of removing via culture. In the interest of the citizens, it would be good if such high profile dignitaries stick to the outskirts of the city where they do not disrupt normal life. more

I missed my train and could not even get time to cancel the ticket. Hotel was booked - lost the money - but, I absorbed all - as my share like one of the soldiers of the Country Leader - whoever s/he is. more
We do not have holistic politics, as yet. May I request Mr Ashok Ashok to name any politician of the day who could come to his expectation in given circumstances. more
Are we a Scandinavian country where the awareness of each of its citizens is high and has a homogenous population, discounting unwanted RoPer refugees in recent years? Or are we a small Pacific nation, again a homogenous population, where each citizen is pretty much known to each other? We have too many criminals, waiting for an opportunity to get our beloved PM. Did you guys forget the Punjab incident? We cannot lose our head of the state. Also, PM visiting a school is a great thing and students need proper role models serving the nation. Our PM is one. I remember being excited about Mrs. Gs visit when I was a kid. Every country has proper security when it comes to its leaders. more
Frankly PM need not visit to open these things and local mp's or better a philanthropist person should be given the chance of opening such institutions than these politicians who do not contribute anything to society otherthan making themselves fatter.A rule should be made in that context so people are spared of the traffic bans etc such kind of vip culture affecting local people more
